Realm of Possibility Journal for Interdisciplinary Problem-Based Solutions
The Realm of Possibility Journal
Interdisciplinary Problem-Based Solutions for a Changing World
The Realm of Possibility is developing a new scholarly journal dedicated to expanding how we understand meaningful work, problem-centered inquiry, and interdisciplinary exploration. This peer-reviewed publication will be the first academic home intentionally designed around Problem-Based Career Exploration (PBCE) — a framework that emphasizes how people mobilize around the problems they care about, rather than the traditional silos of academic disciplines.
This journal will redefine what scholarly publishing can look like in an interconnected world.
What This Journal Will Focus On
The journal will publish work that:
- Highlights how individuals and institutions orient themselves around complex societal problems
- Explores interdisciplinary collaboration, public impact, and innovative thinking
- Uses digital storytelling, network-based analysis, and human-centered inquiry
- Challenges siloed frameworks in education, public health, technology, medicine, and the social sciences
- Brings forward new models of career exploration, mentorship, and academic identity
Rather than asking “What field do you belong to?” the journal asks:
“What problem are you working to address — and how?”
